Nia is a two year old black lab.  She was adopted by a family of four, Sarah (that’s me) and three kids (ages 11,8,4).  Nia (whose name means ‘purpose,’ came home on May 28, 2014 after living at a rescue kennel for about one month.

Nia is unique.  She lost one of her legs as a young puppy when another dog attacked her.  She is about 8-10 pounds underweight, but we don’t imagine that will last long as her new human brother and sisters are assisting her in the weight-gain effort 🙂

Nia has an incredible lab temperament.  She loves everyone, is calm and submissive, food motivated, loves to fetch tennis balls, lays happily on any available lap, and is an all around great friend!
